Skewers and toppings:
Mini store-bought brownies and cake, cut into pieces
Fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, apple, and kiwi slices, etc.)
Store-bought chocolate sauce, jam
For the caramel:
Pour sugar and water into a medium saucepan. Stir.
Bring water and sugar to a boil over medium heat without stirring for about 7–10 minutes. When the mixture is amber-coloured or a candy thermometer reads 120°C (250°F), remove from heat.
Add cream carefully, as the mixture may splatter. Using a wooden spoon, mix until smooth.
Add butter and salt. Mix until all ingredients are melted and sauce is smooth and creamy. Let cool.
Thread a piece of brownie, a piece of fruit, a marshmallow, a macaron, and another piece of fruit on a skewer.
Grill for 3–5 minutes or until golden, being careful not to burn.
Remove from heat. Add your choice of toppings (caramel, jam, chopped peanuts, chocolate sauce, etc.). There are a thousand ways to make decadent s’mores!
