Providing hope for families

We donated $1,783,150 to local food banks in 2020.

What is the La Guignolée food drive?

Year after year, demand at food banks increases during the holiday season. Together with other businesses, Les Marchés Tradition proudly takes part in fundraising initiatives and the collection of non-perishable food items. These donations help make the holiday season more festive and enjoyable for countless families. All cash and food donations are presented to food banks and redistributed to families in need.

How do grocers support the La Guignolée food drive?

Les Marchés Tradition has been deeply involved with the La Guignolée food drive for many years. Starting in November, we get set up to collect funds and non-perishable items at our stores. In 2020, we donated a record $1,783,150 to food banks! This impressive contribution was made possible by the kindness and generosity of customers and grocers at IGA, IGA Extra, IGA Express, Rachelle-Béry, Voisin, Les Marchés Tradition, and Marché Bonichoix stores.

Want to get involved?

Collections for the La Guignolée food drive take place in November and December across our network. But hunger is a year-round problem, so you can donate at any time through our grocers. Ask your Les Marchés Tradition grocer how to donate to food banks in your area.
