The world is evolving, so are traditions

Culinary traditions have changed over time. We now have access to a wider range of products and recipes, and are also exposed to new culinary trends such as internationalisation, vegetarianism, as well as organic and gluten-free food. By updating a classic cooking show with today’s codes and references, we emphasize our new openness to the world. Presented in an entertaining way, the updated show makes it obvious just how much our society has changed with the passage of time.

Jehane Benoit

Who better than Jehane Benoit to represent the traditional cook? A true pioneer of Quebec cuisine in the 50s and 60s, Madame Benoit is the culinary reference of an entire era. With her programs and cookbooks, she influenced a whole generation of gourmet cooks. Her encyclopedia of Canadian cooking could be found in many Quebec homes. A woman ahead of her time, Madame Benoit made a successful career for herself when very few women worked outside the home. These videos are also a tribute to this grande dame of Quebec cooking.
